Day 24 - 35

People are always asking me to write more often, well here you go, I searched for some information on ‘mushroom curry’.

We went to a local market to buy ingredients to start with and then set about cooking spring rolls, banana flower salad, amok (traditional Khmer curry) … It is traditionally made with fish and with loads of fish sauce in it but I made mine without any fish sauce and with mushroom instead of fish….

Because I didn’t want to write a too short journal entry and post it in Healthy food, I checked some search engines on curry and rice girl and found this:

An Excellent Weekend

Once more I was due to have my kids for the weekend, however due to my youngest daughter doing rehearsals for Joseph and his Technicolour Dream coat (which might see her on TV with Denise Van Outen) and my eldest being just a pissy cow I had the whole weekend to me and my boy. Travelling home on the Friday night I was informed, ok I was told by my son what we were going to eat for breakfast (cereal), lunch (toasted tuna sarnies) and dinner (chicken curry with my famous soggy rice) and that was

I tried several more searches on ‘curry and rice girl’ but after 10 minutes I got tired, gave up and posted this entry to ‘Healthy food’. Still, I think it was an interesting exercise.

May the forced rhubarb be with you

People are always asking me to write more often, well here you go, I searched for some information on ‘curry cream pie’.

The spectre of the curry still looms large, but I think Ive finally laid my fear of rhubarb to rest by growing my own. … With a dash of water, sprinkled with a little sugar and left on a low heat till they go mushy, and, obviously served with copious double cream, it is quite simply h eaven in a bowl. Or at least it was….

Too late to fix that perimeter defense and rebounding now

People are always asking me to write more often, well here i go, I searched for some info on ‘hurry curry’.

Toronto Raptors 99, New York Knicks 103 So much for that Orlando win, before we dissect this performance its time to remind everybody that the Raptors are 4-4 in the easy month of February, a month where they were supposed to go 9-3. Lets get the stats out of the way: We got out-rebounded 45-36 (12-5), the leaky perimeter defense gave up 43 points to Jamal Crawford and we committed 16 turnovers. Andrea Bargnani went 1-5 FG with 2 rebounds, Zach Randolph killed us with 26/15 and Bosh countere

Vintage India

Today I was digging for some info on ‘curry chicken salad’ and came across the following section:

Sometimes there are perks to be considered a ‘food blogger’. I got a lunch invitation to go to Vintage India, a restaurant serving North Indian food at Dempsey Hill. I seldom, if ever, get such treats so I jumped at the opportunity. To be honest, I was prepared to eat rather bad food ‘cos why would a good restaurant need to invite a kuching kurak (that’s ’small fry’ in Malay) blogger like me? But I was obviously not going to pick an argument about that. Heehee. I also took good friend monocero

"Health" Food at My House

Last night I used Technorati to find more information on ‘curry chicken salad’.. And this is one of the first results:

Love curry, hate patchouli (which always struck me as a weird variation on spice gumdrops, which , ironically, I DO like) but the combination really sucked. … Making a mental note to step away from the steamed asparagus and move towards the raw spinach salad the next time, I bought a fructose sweetened frozen yogurt topped w…

A multitude of memes

Today I was digging for some info on ‘curry puff’ and came across the following section:

Memes. They’re like buses. Nothing for months and then two come along at the same time! I’ve actually been quite tardy about completing these, but have now finally got around to it, so if you think you still haven’t had enough random info about me (as I’ve done both of these before), here goes. The first meme is a slight variation on the Five Things meme and the lovely Anne of Anne’s Food tagged me while I was on holiday: What were you doing 10 years ago? I was lecturing contract law at
