I’ve a passion for Cooking and keep looking for good articles. Today, I checked if I could find more info by entering ‘green chili cream sauce’ in Google and found this:

I’ve been reading Sunday Scribblings for years–even before I actually had a blog here. I was always too intimidated to post an entry of my own. I write professionally for a living, but I write reports and briefing papers and executive summaries. Facts. Data. Active voice. There is nothing creative about my writing. I am not clever or metaphorical or symbolic. But “Fridge Space” is a topic I can write about because I can tell you the facts, provide you with data. I have a “Mom Fridge.” It is co

Crispy chicken balls with home-made sweet & sour sauce

Almost four years ago now, I caught myself saying on this blog that I had tired of looking out for Chinese restaurants which were all mediocre and served nothing but the same old glutamate-laden ready-made sauces… would you believe that the same passionate cook has found new love in Asian restaurants lately? And this is a relatively new disovery, a complete 180-degree turn of my palate, who would have thought? I really didn’t have much hope of ever setting foot in a Chinese outside of China

Cheap-O Kitchen: Playing the Mandolin

Today I was digging for some info on ‘green tomato sauce recipe’ and came across the following paragraph:

The mandolin slicer may seem like a professional chef’s tool, but don’t be intimidated. The mandolin that I’m going to recommend is NOT a big shiny metal contraption that requires an instruction sheet to set up and operate. In this case, we’re going to skip the bells and whistles and go for utility. In most kitchens, clutter equals frustration, so less is more. Why do you need a mandolin? Well, you may not. If you’ve got Iron Chef Morimoto knife skills, then you might be able to cut uniform raz

Tracht’s triumphs

Today I was digging for some info on ‘creamy green peppercorn sauce’ and came across the following section:

For Coq au vin, the classic French dish of braised chicken in a red-wine broth, two leg-thigh pieces sit atop a tasty sauce with cremini tops, pearl onions and applewood s moked bacon. … Dont miss the chocolate pudding, which is more like a thick, creamy mousse. Flying Fish

I lost my umbrella at Flying Fish last weekend, and thats not really a euphemism for anything. All afternoon, it lay under my chair, and then I stood up and walked out to leave, and completely forgot about it. I will however, never forget the toilets at this restaurant, especially from my last visit, a couple of years ago. The clear glass cubicles are designed to magically frost up when you enter. Which sounds great in theory, only I accidentally managed to stand at an awkward spot at some p

Mapo Tofu

People are always asking me to write more often, well here you go, I looked up some info on ‘green pepper and black bean sauce’.

This picture is making me salivate as I write this at 1 in the morning. I can still remember how the sauce lingered on my lips, making them feel all warm and tingly. Authentic Sichuan cuisine is not for the faint of heart. The food from the province is damn spicy — face reddening, sweat inducing, fan-yourself-silly spicy. And not only is it spicy, it numbs your mouth too! The famous ma la, or numb and spicy, sensation comes from the copious use of chilies and Sichuan peppercorns. Mapo tofu is
