At first, all the ingredients sound so foreign and unusual so let’s break it up into two parts: “what you need to cook your food” (flavorings, condiments, and sauces) and “what to cook”. The challenging part is all the stuff under the what to cook category, since many of

All week I have been going from one blog to the next, ogling at gorgeously delicious posts on every imaginable kind of pizza. Hi everyone! I’m back, well rested and recharged. Well, recharged anyway. I’m still on Spain time, which is actually convenient since I’m still working the 3am shift at work. I’ve never been so awake at 2am! I’m going to show you my trip in segments. Today: food. My next post will probably be shopping. I’ve arranged all the photos by topic–but still don’t have every single one on there. I hope to finish sometime today. I’ve posted a Flickr photo set specifically of the food in Sevilla HERE. I

I love Indian food! My first Indian cookbook, now held together by tape, more tape and string, contains a lovely chicken coconut curry dish that includes almost every spice you can think of. Usually, I would cut the amount of chicken down to half and add two large cubed potatoes, but this time I had only one single chicken breast to work with. That’s 1/2 of 1/2. I added three

***A recipe for Spanish Rice is below. My family loves mexican food, which is good because we eat it all the time. We buy a package of 90 corn tortillas every couple of weeks (this costs $3.00) and we use them in a variety of ways. Tortillas can be warmed on the burner of your stove or in a skillet, and they can also be fried to make chips (these taste so much better than any chips in a bag!) or taco/tostadas shells. To fry the tortillas, heat 1 inch of oil in a large skillet. (Whe
