Today I was digging for some info on ‘chuy’s green sauce’ and came across the following section:
There was no partying yesterday, but we got takeout from Chuy’s (one of my favorite Tex-Mex joints), … and I ate mine too fast, and then ate the extra green-chile sauce with some bread, and then I didn’t feel so good, so I self-medicated, with my favorite remedy for t ummy-aches, cognac….

Cooking with decent ingredients means that you don’t want to waste them, however lowly they may seem to be. Something that has crept up on me is finding ways of using up every last crumb of the bread I bake. It’s the sort of thrift I was brought up to, but which doesn’t work if you’re eating Mother’s Pride. At the fish counter yesterday, I was very aware of Ed Bruske’s gentle admonishment: I love monkfish. However, I’ve stopped buying it because it is listed as “avoid” by the Monterey Bay Aquar

Happy VEEE Day everyone!
Love is in the air man! No one to celebrate with? Fear not! I celebrated V-day with my beloved cg :). Which, I believe, is far better than celebrating with any man (at the moment!). HAHA :), Worship was a little longer today cuz there ain’t any preaching. But no need for preaching laa. We’re all preachers! :D. Nick, KY and I shared a word each as led by Holy Spirit. It was pretty good :). Haha. Was blessed by Nick’s word about fixing our eyes on the Lord.

10 Worst NBA Trades of All-Time: Will Shaq To Suns Ever Join This List?
NBA trades have often set organizations back 10 years in progress while sending the other team to pick up bright shinny rings each summer on a regular basis. Sometimes you hardly even notice these moves when they occur, but in retrospect you can’t fathom the rationale. Shaquille O’Neal’s trade to the Phoenix Suns has conjured up some very strong opinions and many believe it has the potential to make this list in the future. I still have mixed feelings. Phoenix is taking a considerably risk t

Sugar Plums, Sugar Cookies
Today I am back to being totally cute. I LOVE WINTER! I am wearing a black sweater, gray trumpet skirt and black boots… people have been commenting on it AGAIN. I really must be a complete bum in the summer- a vision of ultimate distress. It’s hard to dress well when it’s so hot outside and walking out to the car to go to lunch causes a heat stroke. Who cares about how you look when you feel so awful? Ah well… speaking of looking awful… my eating is out of control! Sugar plums- sugar co

The following is the 2007 winning entry from an annual contest at Texas A&M University calling for the most appropriate definition of a contemporary term. “Political Correctness”– “Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end. In New Zealand now is the time for them, so grab one if you can. … So, after getting out of my miserably drenched clothes I decided to make a warming curry for dinner, filled with vegetables and even some soul-soothing lentils to c ounteract the day’s cake-eating….The curry itself was warm and inviting, the perfect thing to be eating by the greedy bowlful with this inhospitable rain beating against the windows. … On Thursday night, having made it for the second time, I spread it thickly over a scone dough base (the recipe of which I found in Alison Holst’s Dollars and Sense, w…
