Fine dining in Pacifica, Mandarin Oriental, KL.

In the afternoon I used Google to find more info on ’sauce for fried green tomatoes’.. And this is one of the first results:

Had a blast having dinner last night. Not so much on the food but more on the company I had there. But today’s post will be about the place we had dinner at which is Pacifica in Mandarin Oriental. Honestly, the price was mind-blowing!! A dinner for four had the bill close to RM1000, with the three of us having only Evian water to drink and one house wine. I was pretty tempted to take some of the cutleries home because they looked so pretty and because everything was SO expensive. I was too ove

History of Yoshoku, the Japanese Version of Western Food

Today I was digging for some info on ‘katsu curry’ and came across the following paragraph:

Katsu, katsu, and more katsu Sushi and udon are popular Japanese dishes, but have you ever eaten Napolitan spaghetti (spaghetti rinsed in cold water and stir-fried with vegetables in ketchup) or menchi katsu (deep-fried breaded hamburger) at a Japanese restaurant? The New York Times profiles yoshoku cuisine, the Japanese take on Western food that originated in the mid-1850s and has since become an integral part of Japanese cuisine. Besides ketchup-ed spaghetti and deep-fried hamburger, yosho

Kare Gyoza (Curry Potstickers)

Today I used Technorati to find more info on ‘katsu curry’ so I could post it into ‘Cooking recipes’. And this is one of the many results I found:

Not too long ago I came across a post about curry gyoza. I had never even though about filling gyoza with left over curry. It sounded like a great idea and I just had to try it. Gyoza are Japanese dumplings. They are generally filled with ground meat, vegetables and seasonings. The dumplings can be boiled, steamed, deep fried or shallow fried and steamed. I prefer to shallow fry and steam as you get to enjoy both the crispy fried side and the soft steamed side. Gyoza are typically dipped in a

8 Alternatives to Potato Chips

This morning I used Live search to find more information on ’sauce for green beans’ so I could post it into ‘Cooking recipes’. And this is one of the many results I found:

When youre in the mood for a salty snack, a big, shiny bag of potato chips is hard to resist. Tempting as they are, the next time youre craving a crunchy, handy treat, keep in mind these eight healthier alternatives. Going in-land with a van - Kandy, Sri Lanka

Today I was digging for some info on ‘addicted to curry’ and came across the following paragraph:

Jump to the full entry & travel map Kandy, Sri Lanka After spending a wonderful week or so in Tangalle, I thought I better move in land and explore more of the country, before I became a permanent fixture at Surya Garden, which was a pleasing prospect, given how peaceful and pretty and can I make it three “p’s” and say perfect, it was?!  Manjula, a friend of Manuela, was available to take me for a week-long jaunt, in his big, white diesel van, up through the middle o

PodShow is Dead; Long Live Mevio

I’ve a passion for Cooking and keep looking for good articles. Today, I checked if I could find more info by entering ‘adam curry’ in Google and found this:

Adam Curry has long been a polarizing figure, and within the podcasting community, the name PodShow tends to polarize similarly - you either love it or hate i t, but youre rarely on the fence….Adam Curry initially began his foray into podcasting with an open-community, open-source approach to things, but later took the hard work of the open source community (…The company and Adam Curry both, though, have more fame for some less than scrupulous moves in their past than their accomplishments in the podcasting world….Mevio, which still claims co-founder and former MTV VJ Adam Curry, was one of the so-called founding fathers of podcasting, along with perpetually cranky coder and s erial entreprenuer Dave Winer….
