Last night I used Google to find more info on ’salmon with green sauce’.. And this is one of the many results:
Late, late, late again - for my own event. But in fact, this time my lateness is a literary device - to illustrate practically the fact that I was a relative latecomer to pulses. (Well, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it!) Did you have to study something called “Health” at school? From about age 10 to 12, we had this opaquely named subject on our curriculum, and I guess in some ways it was a foundation course in human biology. Because we were only little, the subject didn’t require c

This morning I used Yahoo! to find more information on ‘lamb curry’.. And this is one of the first results:
I get almost 100% of my produce from the local farmers markets here in San Francisco these days. Ive been doing so for about a year now; a couple of friends of mine have asked me about the great results at low prices I get with this style of food shopping so I figured Id CC the Internet. Getting great meals out of the farmers markets takes a little practice. The key combination is one of imagination, thrift, and an eye for the fresh vs. the stuff thats been riding around in their truck

Here’s a delicious fish cake recipe - each small cake is only 1 point, because no oil is involved. (If you want, you can try frying them in oil, but the point value will increase.) You can also make these cakes bigger, and eat them as burgers. I personally don’t like to eat spicy, but if you want to add some heat to these cakes, chop up some hot red chili peppers and add them to the salmon mixture. Review: Fock Kee Seafood Restaurant
**Non-Halal** As I’ve updated in my post about Fook Kee, they have now shifted across the road, within Queen’s Park complex. Even their name spelt differently now haha but rest assured, they’re the same people. The reason they shifted was the old place which is actually a shack tend to flood during heavy rain. It’s more comfortable now at the new place. This round instead of having rice and dishes, we opted for noodles. I picked Kong Nam meen since we’ve never tasted their version and this was

I did started the C25K podcast yesterday. It was really good. The music on it is a little techno-y for my liking, but it’s worth it to not have to keep figuring out when you start and stop running. I did it without too much trouble, though at one point the guy was like, “ok you should be feeling the effects of your run, but you shouldn’t be out of breath and you should be able to talk comfortably” HA HA HA! I was totally out of breath. I mean I could talk, but would certainly be gasping for some

There was a menu planned for last week…promise! Let’s just say, it got changed. Several times before the week even started, and as the week progressed. I ended up fixing two of the weekday meals on the weekend we got snowed in. We had unexpected company for dinner on Thursday evening. Luckily, I was able to improvise, and the evening was enjoyable. Then Shane was away for two evenings for business meetings and a church board meeting. Yes, two meetings on one of those nights (yuck)! I don’t enj

Today I was digging for some info on ‘cabbage curry’ and came across the following paragraph:
Then they tried to “zing” it up with a mongrel concotion of shredded cabbage and most overcooked carrot disks with broccoli that I have ever choked down since I was 8 in the school lunch line. … A curry fish plate, one soup, and two pork chops finally made their way over….
Hmmm, I have too look further into that for my Cooking blog.
