Serious Sandwiches: Fried Pork Sandwich at Tina's Restaurant

People are always asking me to write more often, well here you go, I looked up some info on ‘peruvian green sauce’.

Today’s Serious Sandwich post feels like one of those crossover comic books events, like the time Spiderman showed up in Daredevil. I don’t normally write about sandwiches from Midtown Manhattan (I leave that stuff for my blog Midtown Lunch), but I had a sandwich for lunch on Monday that to not share with you would be a disservice to Serious Eaters everywhere. I found it while researching a piece for Midtown Lunch at Tina’s Restaurant, a fast food Cuban place that I not only had no intention

Chickpea and spinach curry

Since I don’t eat any dairy products or milk ingredients at all, I have been a bit concerned about my calcium intake. What else can I do to consume more calcium. I did some research and it happens that spinach is a really good source of calcium, so I decided to try new spinach recipes, containing garlic, of course. I made up this recipe today. The recipe is vegan. Chop one whole onion and three cloves of garlic and sautee them in two teaspoons vegetable oil. When onion is transparent, add thr

Food in asia… Thoughts and stuff…

People are always asking me to write more often, well here you go, I looked up some info on ’shrimp green sauce’.

Oh and the soy sauce is sweet with almost a bbq flavor to it. Odd. … Miso also came last. Then came the green tea….I put that in the dipping broth (not a sauce but more of a broth) as suggested and swished it around and it thickened it up and gave it a bit of spice. … Came with a shrimp too but that was much more mushy that I am used to. Still tasted good though….

In the afternoon I used Yahoo! to find more information on ‘hurry curry’.. And this is one of the many results I found:

Let’s say you’re a visitor, or you decide to have something other than a home cooked meal and you are trying a roti for the first time… What do you do? Read this article carefully, by the time you finish reading it, two of the dissed establishments may have put a contract on me, LOL! A quick BTW for all visitors here - rotis are meant to be eaten in the pastry shell like a burrito, please, don’t skin it back and add hotsauce or ketchup - no matter how awful it is there are roti condiments an

Gruelling Growlers

In the afternoon I used Yahoo! to find more information on ‘addicted to curry’ so I could post it into ‘Cooking recipes’. And this is one of the first results:

Every time I visit the mother-in-law, or she comes to visit me, theres a conversation about meat pies. Its not me who starts the conversation either, Ill have you know. If Id married some working class heroine from some lovely part of Preston Id maybe understand it, but my mother-in-law is a fairly well-to-do surgeons wife from over here in America. I've Got Your Code Right Here

Last night I used Google to find more information on ‘panang curry’ so I could post it into ‘Chicken curry’. And this is one of the first results I found:

This holiday season involved air travel. I spent my week of overnights prior to waltzing with airport security stewing in the rhinovirus that decided my body was a tasty haven to start overpopulating. I took my last night off so I could wallow in my own “sick” and have a half-assed chance at making it to my destination in one slobbbery, coughing, mucus-filled piece. While on my holiday adventure with friends and family, my rhinovirus made some very powerful friends of its own. The multi-state a
